Eligibility
- Residents of Hamblen County, Tennessee.
- Out-of-county residents employed in Hamblen County at time of emergency.
- Persons traveling through Hamblen County in need of traveler’s aid.
Service Provisions
- Each person must complete an application.
- All applicants are interviewed by a case worker to assess level of need.
- All applicants must have verification of income, expenditures, and proof of residence.
- Emergency assistance is provided without extensive waiting periods when proper identification and information are obtained.
- Emergency assistance is provided based on individual case assessments and availability of funds.
- Information and referral are part of each interview if appropriate.
